ANDREW BOLT B.A. (Hons), FCMA

Andrew founded TAND Advisory Corporation in 2017. He has over 35 years of experience of the real estate and hospitality markets including acquisitions, asset management, real estate financing and joint venture transactions. He currently manages a number of assets including hotels in Jersey and Marrakech and a 100 acre business park in Cardiff and has a number of non-executive positions. Additionally, he specialises in advising Family Offices on key issues such as succession, remuneration and non-family executives.

For the previous 18 years, Andrew has advised Newarthill Plc, the multi-generational McAlpine family business, that has significant investments in renewable energy, construction and property. As a Director and Head of Real Estate and Asset Management, he advised the Board on investments and JV’s and managed their development projects from inception to completion.

 

Prior to McAlpine’s, he spent the previous 10 years in Merchant Banking and Investment Management with Schroders and Hambros. He managed private client property funds, invested in property and leisure resort developments in Europe and later advised on M&A transactions and provided development and funding strategies for a number of clients including MoD, British Gas and British Waterways Board. As football TV rights started to grow, Andrew advised two Premiership clubs on the development and funding of new stadia.

In the late 80’s, with the Financial sector rapidly expanding, Andrew moved from Deloitte to Security Pacific Merchant Bank and their market leading property, hotel & leisure debt lending team. Here he specialised in project finance for theme parks, hotel and golf resort developments in the US and Europe.

After qualifying as an accountant, Andrew joined Grand Metropolitan Plc (now Diagio) as a financial planner in the brewing and pubs business before joining Deloitte in the Management Consultancy division, where he focused on providing strategic reviews and developing feasibility studies.

Andrew received a BA(Hons) degree from University of Kent and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants.
